How does this thing work anyways?

Anybody around here know how to alter the look of my blog? I can add buttons and stuff but anything more involved than that, I almost damn near delete everything I have. I want to add a link on the side for "100 things" and perhaps an "about me" page. Help!

I need some color on this blog. I actually found a site that created a template for me, It's just everytime I insert it into the editor, I either get all the coding on the top of the page, and then the blog underneath, or the template comes through, and my posts are deleted. There is no happy medium with me. I can literally break anything I come in contact with. It sometimes takes me a while, but I can break it.

Things I've broken recently:
1. My car, apparently I drive it wrong. (wtf?) and I have that thing into the shop at least once every couple of weeks.

2. My blog, you don't even know how much time I spend trying to alter things, only to spend just as much time trying to undo what I thought I was doing.????

3. My printer at home. All of a sudden when I want to print...nada.

4. My drawer at work. I open it, it's kind of hard to pull open so I grease it, it never opens again...

5. The copier at work. All I have to do is look at the thing and there's a paper jam...oddly enough, it works every-damn-time for anyone else.

That's enough. I could keep going but I won't. Let's just say I cross my fingers for everything I do and pray that it breaks after I get done using it. Then I just pretend someone else did it. ;)
