Woah.

Where does the time go? Bella is nearing 7 wks old and I wish I could show all of you how much she has changed since her birth. But, old computers suck and all that.

She is filling out and moving all around these days. She's finally figuring out that her hands are part of her body and not just foreign objects that claw her face and grab her ears randomly.

She has started smiling now and that toothless grin is something that melts my heart every time. I can't wait for those belly laughs to start rolling in.

The other day I broke my own heart by clipping Bella's finger when I was trimming her fingernails. I didn't know it until I was giving her a bottle later that day and touched her finger and she jumped and whimpered. Bad Mommy. :( I felt so bad, Aaron had to convince me that it probably happens to a lot of new moms. Still, when you hurt your own child, the hurt in your heart is incredible.

I can't believe it, but for me it feels like summer is almost over. Basically because I have to go back to work so soon. It has been a long break for me though and I'm starting to get cabin fever and am SOMEWHAT looking forward to going back now. Not that I'm not busy enough at home, but I would like to get back into the swing of things at work.

13 days and counting. Any moms have tips for coping? Leave a comment or email me.

Have a great week!

She sounds so beautiful - and cute!! I bet it's an adventure each and every day. Good luck getting ready to go back to work. I know I wasn't ready and I was only gone 2 weeks...

Yep, I imagine every mom clips a finger before their kid turns 2. No worries there. Comfort yourself in knowing that Thumper FORGOT to wash behind her kid's ears until he was 2 months old. Never occured to me. You shoulda seen what was growing back there... LOL

I clipped Ben's finger while he was still in the NICU (with really long fingernails). I was afraid they wouldn't let me take him home because obviously I was incapable of taking care of him. It sucked.

Going back to work was awesome for me. I brought along pics of the boys to smile at in between clients, and it was actually nice to miss them. And it was great to see them again at the end of the day. I may have missed it, but are you going back full-time?

I've cut more little fingers and bumped more little heads, and fallen down on my butt while carrying little people more than I should probably admit. We're human and we make tiny little mistakes.

Unless you tell her someday, she'll never know. :-)

Good luck on going back to work.
