Down to the nitty gritty

1. Pedicure today-DONE (hey, if my tootsies are going to be up in the air while I try to kiss my knees, I better have pretty piggies.
2. Vacuum entire house in every crevice so the baby's first breath in her new home doesn't give her a hairball.
3. Go through office papers and file. Also create new file for baby so her 1200 ultrasound pictures have a home.
4. Diaper bag set up-DONE
5. Film in camera, hospital bag packed with cord blood kit-DONE
6. FILL ME IN

Help, new mommies!! What's one thing you wish you would have taken care of while you had time before the baby came?

I'm a planner, but also notorious for forgetting some of the most obvious things when making lists. So help me out here, what am I missing?

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, be safe!

One thing I was really glad I did before giving birth was to pack my freezer with ready-to-cook meals. I made a ton of lasagnas, pasta sauce, soup, frozen vegetables, chicken pie, etc. My mom even gave me a few items. So for the first 2 weeks, we didn't have to cook, we just had to re-heat.

Good luck and all the best!

Kiwi has a great suggestion - I did that before my surgery since I knew I wouldn't be in the mood to cook. See if there is a Let's Dish, Super Suppers, etc. in your area. The meals are really good, inexpensive and easy to prepare (even Don could make them!).

I made sure I had chapstick and my own pillow in a case other than white (so it doesn't get mixed up with the hospital pillows).

Even though she came 2 weeks early and we didnt even have the bags packed or figure out how to hook the car seat, when it comes down to it, your ready as you'll ever be, no matter what! Sounds like you are ready!

I agree with Kiwi. Also, I REALLY wish I'd cleaned my house better and done all the laundry, organized the drawers, etc. I was very glad I'd completely washed, folded & organized the baby's clothes as well.
