Where we're at.

A week ago today we discovered we are having a little girl. Isabella. We are having a little Isabella.

We also discovered that she has a cyst on her brain. I heard those two words in the same sentence and didn't hear much after that.

I've heard plenty of encouraging scenarios since then, but the fear is still in my mind for our baby girl.

Our next appointment at the hospital this time will be on Monday to see if perhaps the cyst has just gone away on its own. Dear God, please let the cyst go away.

Dear God, PLEASE let the cyst just go away.
Amen.

I am writing to let you know that these cysts are extremely common and almost every single time, they disappear on their own. My daughter (now two months) had a cyst on her brain while swimming in the womb. Within two weeks, the cyst completely disappeared.

Wishing you and baby Isabella the best!

I'm sorry to hear about the cyst, as if you need anything to worry about, and I hope to hear good news soon.

I love, love, LOVE the name Isabella! If I have two girls, I would be fighting Scott for that name :)

After reading this blog entry the other day, I've been thinking of you. Today, my old college roommate called me with news that she's 23 weeks pregnant. Why didn't you tell me? I asked her. Well, apparently their little baby had a cyst on it's spine they discovered around 10 weeks and they had to wait it out. At their 18 week ultrasound, they discovered the cyst had gone away.

I just knew I had to tell you about this.

Ohmygod. No one will EVER, EVER be able to tell you not to worry. I'm sorry as hell you've got to worry about your little Isabella this way. I truly hope she'll be fine. I know you do, too.
