A telemarketer fights back

::ring:: ::ring::

"Hello, this is Rebecca, can I help you?"

"Yes, this is so and so from xyz company and I'd like to speak to the person in charge of ordering software for your company."

"No thank you." (I then proceed to hang up)

2 seconds pass...

::ring:: ::ring::

"Hello, this is Rebecca, can I help you?"

BEEP BBBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP (And then she hangs up after my eardrum implodes)

I hope she feels better now. And one day decides what career she'd really like to be doing, ONCE SHE GROWS UP.

Happy Friday!

    LOL!! oh geez...that was probably the 1,583,274 hang up she's had and you were her last straw...I bet she walked out on her job right after she called you back! I don't envy telemarketers...don't like 'em either though.

    Ugh! Like Krista said, I feel bad for them, but they have no right to do that! My mom one time did the same thing as you - said no thank you and hung up. Then they called her back, with their supervisor, to discuss with her how inappropriate it was for her to act that way!

    OMG!! How incredibly rude!

    That said, I could NEVER be a telemarketer... I dislike them so much that I almost feel sorry for them. But hopefully the rest of the world will eventually feel this way & they'll all eventually phase out. Like the evolution of preferable/necessary jobs... survival of the fittest (non-telemarketers). Ha!

    Sometimes I feel sorry for telemarketers, because after all, it's just their job and they are gainfully employed, trying to earn a living. But other times, I'm like, "Eh, screw 'em."

    I used to work as a telemarketer - for three whole days. I could NOT handle being heartless and cold to all that I called. The people that I worked with were rude and they really gave all the decent telemarketers (if there are any) a bad name.
