The best laid plans

Despite my best efforts, I was not able to tell you about my weekend through pictures, so now you just have to read about it.

Saturday Aaron made me french toast in bed. (I felt really weird doing that btw,) then we just lounged around the house all day until we did Christmas with Aaron's family at our house later. We went to a nice dinner, got some great news from Aaron's sister and then we went back to our house to play air hockey, watch the wedding video and open presents. it was a great fun evening and we didn't get to sleep until about 2am. Not too bad considering I can't stay up past 11 lately.

Sunday was the day though. We woke up around 11 and headed down to Detroit. Once we found a place to park, we ate at Hockeytown Cafe and then went on a "photo shoot." Since it was freezing out and my face was burnt from the cold, we drove around town instead of walked. I got some awesome shots I can't wait to post. Then along came the biggest surprise of the night. We went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The Rockettes! It was so much fun and the Fox Theatre in Detroit is beautiful, if you're ever here, you have to see a show there. Aaron was worried I wouldn't like it because I'd been before, and while I admit, it was a redundancy for me, it was good to be there with Aaron and experiencing it all over again.

Quick small dinner of pizza, a movie at home, and it was all over.

Mission accomplished.

One more day until 10 days of vacation!!!!!!

Is the Fox Theatre the one across from the new baseball stadium? If so, that is one BE-YOU-tiful place!

Dang, I'm jealous that you get ten days off. I only get Christmas Eve off. I guess I should be thankful for that. I wish we had New Year's Eve too, though. Dangit. Where in Michigan do you live?
