A season of many hats

Got a lot accomplished this weekend. Yard wise I mean. We even worked into the night to get the, dare I say it, CHRISTMAS LIGHTS up. I know, so soon you say? Hey, even two of our local radio stations are devoted to Christmas music already. So I'm just going along with the flow.

Anyways, I have some big news to announce and I'm scared and excited all at the same time. We thought we would just let nature take it's course, but we decided to take matters into our own hands and officially "try." I had to clear it with Aaron first, but we decided now is as good a time as any. We thought perhaps it would be too soon after the wedding to begin, but then we realized it's not up to anyone else. So, there you go. One thing I'm worried about is that I'm overweight and that might cause problems, however, my doctor assured me bigger people have babies too, so I need to put that fear aside. I have my annual appointment with my "special doctor" on Thursday so I'll turn that into a pre-conception visit as well.

I asked Aaron if he was ready for hormones, pregnancy acne and all the glorious things that will happen to my body and he said it was worth it.

We aren't telling family just yet, or anyone for that matter, so there's no pressure.

Here we go, another chapter of our life is about to unfold....

Definitely a BIG step in life! At least you and Aaron are on the same page about it though, so that makes the whole process easier. Like you said, nature will take its course so we don't always have control over the timing. But I know for a fact that not every woman who gets pregnant is thin...so don't let that worry you too much -- the most important thing is that you're healthy...eating well and exercising moderately. Best wishes!! :)

That's such exciting news!! :) I'm with you on the not telling anyone thing so there's no pressure. I have too many coworkers who are constantly nagging their family members to hurry up and have one now that they know they're trying.
