T minus 5 hours

At 3:00 two things will be happening:

1. I will get off work and go pick up Aaron and Chaya. We will then take Chaya to a new home. A coworker's friend has a family that wants a dog. Chaya is going to a better home. She deserves so much happiness and will really like what these people have to offer her. The husband is a zoologist, the mom stays home and there are two kids Chaya can play with. And get this, she has her own doggie door! One that leads to a fenced in yard even! She is going to have the best life. She deserves this, as she's a great dog. We're sad of course, but we can visit her anytime we like!
I'm only scared she'll miss Delia. And Delia will miss her. They were the best sisters you know.

2. We'll cry a little and then.....we're going canoeing! Still a little scared about those bears though. We won't get to the property until around 11pm so it should be good times trying to get a tent up in complete darkness. Good times, good times.

Stories aplenty on Monday. Have a great weekend!! And say a prayer that the bears don't eat us!!

So glad there's a happy ending to The Tale of Chaya! Have fun camping and don't forget to do the "No Bears" dance before you slide into the sleeping bag each night.

Glad you found a great home for Chaya -- probably less stress on all of you. What about a kitty sister? I'd stay away from fish and hamsters....LOL.

Have a great time camping -- and when you get back I'll have a little tidbit for you....

Sorry to hear that you won't have Chaya, but very happy that she's going to a good home! :) My parents bought a puppy from an older woman once (before I was born) because she couldn't take care of him any longer. My parents let her come over to visit the dog any time she wanted and she loved it! Have fun camping and hope the bears didn't bite ;)
