Homecoming weekend

Tonight we will attend my High School's homecoming. And I will watch my sister take my spot on the football field in her marching uniform, my old clarinet in hand, and I will feel the angst for her knowing everyone's eyes are watching her, just as if it were me again on the field. I'm so proud of her. The difference in her from last year to this one really makes me glow. Her dedication is 100% better and she thrives on it like I did.

So tonight I will watch her at pre-game and halftime and tomorrow I will do her hair for homecoming and yell at her every 5 seconds to sit still or the curling iron is going to burn her. Huh. What a difference a day makes.
