Stayin Alive

I didn't work out Tuesday night. I was so feeling under the weather that I figured a rest would be good. I did work out last night which made me feel great. And I'm getting better at Ramp it Up.

I'm really tired today, so to brief you on happenings, today you get a list.

1. Last night I was supposed to meet with the attendants in the wedding party. Only 2 of 8 could make it...I'm not a happy camper today.

2. The last time I had a pedicure the lady got clip happy and now my toe hurts like a mother because the nail is growing back.

3. That was TMI, I know, I know.

4. Last night was a bad night. I'm tired of being so stressed out and crying because it feels better after I do.

5. Good damn thing I'm exercising right now to release some of my stress.

6. Kept Aaron up last night talking until I was blue in the face. I know we're both zombies today.

7. I want to elope.

8. Seriously.

Awww, feel better soon! My parents have always told me that they want to hop on a plane with me and my fiance and get married in Vegas. Personally, I want a normal wedding in town with friends and family, but perhaps you should tell me to follow my parents advice! ;) And Aaron sounds like a winner, he's a sweetie to stay up late talking to you about everything!

Although my wedding was amazing, there were so many times before the day itself that I very nearly called my (now ex) husband and told him to pack up his truck so that we could head to Vegas. Had the six girls who didn't show up for your get together previously indicated that they'd be there? Perhaps you just need to scale the number of attendants back? The rule of thumb, by the way, is two for every 100 guests, so don't worry about your wedding party being too small.

Of course, if you ran off to Vegas, I could be at your wedding and shower you with rose petals afterwards! Do not discount how wonderful a wedding inside a pyramid could be. :-)

    Denise,

    I'm totally considering that offer....really.

**I also should have clarified, the 8 attendants are 4 on my side and 4 on Aaron's. The two that showed up were from my side. And yes, they were all supposed to come.

    I eloped.

22+ years later, we're just as married as we'd be if we'd had the big to-do. I don't have any regrets about it and kind of hope my kid doesn't have a big wedding (cause I'm cheap that way ;) )

Still...once the day is here, it'll be something to remember forever...no?

As someone who had a two-person wedding, I can't imagine having it any other way.

The best way I can explain it is to say that halfway through our private wedding dinner, The One and I were ready for bed.

No, not "ready to go to the bedroom," but absolutely exhausted.

I couldn't imagine a receiving line, dancing, entertaining, hosting, all that stuff. I was emotionally sated by 9:00 PM.
