A girl's best friend

Last week I came home from work and set my stuff down. Right next to a giant carpenter ant. I swear, if it was any bigger, with some coaching I'm sure I could have taught it to talk and roll over. We have adopted a puppy and kitten in the same day but going back in my mind I remembered we did NOT adopt an ant. Or the next 50 I would find throughout my house. I blame the rain.

If you know me at all, I am such a girl when it comes to bugs. Actually I'm fine if the bugs are outside because I expect them there. I do not, however, expect them in my house nor do I invite them in. So I squished the first one. Went to sit down on the couch and saw another one. So I did what any good parent would do, I used my dog as an anteater. Chaya loved to eat the ants. And now that I began seeking out the ants, Chaya was right by my side licking them up. Delia wanted to play with them and that was cute for about a second, then I bought in the anteater to suck them up.

When Aaron came home he found me sitting in the middle of the living room watching t.v on a barstool with my trusty anteater by my side.

Aaron thought that they would start marching out of her behind because she ate so many. I'm still waiting.

Dogs are a girl's best friend.

Oh, I'm a little toasty today from boating for 6 hours yesterday, there fore I cannot be responsible for my actions or thoughts today. I'm a little crunchy. KFC's got nothin on me.

Happy Monday!

Oh yeah. Ants are the great big horror. I am wildly allergic to red ants, they make enormous welts appear on my body.

lol I'm the opposite as you. While ants are gross, I would make sure I shoved my dog outside while I cleaned them up myself. I have a hard time letting him eat bugs, I just keep imagining how it would feel to have them crawling around in his mouth!

See, I thought about that. I pushed Chaya away and then she ate one. it was like a light bulb went off in my head. It was soooo funny after that to see her eating them.

By the way , I loved your graduation pictures. And the toes. I always say, nothing like a pedicure to make you feel pretty!

That gives me an idea, maybe I'll start a blog and just put up pictures of fellow our fellow bloggers manicured toes! ha! That would be funny.

:::::Goes off to think how she can put the idea in motion:::

Let me know if you want to sign up, details shortly...

Just be careful because too many ants gives a pup a tummy ache! Both Baja and Jager eat moths, butterflies (when they catch them), flies, ants, etc. The only thing I chase them away from are bees.
I'd put up a picture of my toes -- after a pedicure, natch!
