A brand new day

I haven't visited this area in a while: weight.

I've been a bit discouraged because I've been working in the yard like crazy, always cleaning (while wearing my weights) and I step on the scale to a gain. I hate that! It's such a downer.

I was reading a post today on a blog that talked about giving excuses for not exercising. I think I'm the queen at this. I can justify anything and will totally believe the reason too. Not good.

So I've come to a realization of a couple things and here are the rules for my program. They may seem so small to you but they're big steps for me.

1. I must get out of the habit of weighing myself 50 times a day. (No, you don't weigh any less even though you had to pee that bad)And if I must weigh myself everyday, it will be once only, and in the morning, when they say you weigh less. ;)

2. I will incorporate at least two fruits and two vegetables into lunch and dinner. Even on the weekends. Breakfast is a bagel with cream cheese. That's all my stomach can handle.

3. I will not skip breakfast because I'm nauseous.

4. I will begin taking a multi vitamin again. And I will keep on with it even though they make me feel yucky.

5. When I do want a fast food fix, I will choose wisely. (If there is such a thing)

6. I will make myself eat a balanced meal even if all I want is a bag of popcorn or some chips and salsa.

7. Since I'm totally not a morning person, (See nausea in #3.) I will try to power walk every night, if only for 20 minutes.

Say it with me: "I WILL."

Now I realize these rules are stupid to others but I think they will help me so I have to do it. I started last night when I made myself a sandwich instead of getting a 5 dollar pizza. Then I took Chaya for a walk, more like I walked and dragged her behind me. She's in the "sniffing" stage...and the digging stage....and the teething stage.

Happy Hump Day!!

PS: Keep sending those toes in. Denise and Shannin, I'm totally counting on you two to email me your pics.

Omigosh, the PRESSURE! LOL. I'll get a pedi on Saturday and send you the evidence afterwards. (No laughing at my Fred Flintstone-esque feet!)
