Taking a trip, eh?

As you may have guessed from the title, we went to Canada for the weekend. More specifically, Niagra Falls. Now, I know you're shivering just reading that but trust me, we weren't the only nuts there. The streets were packed with people. Saturday was like a blizzard there and it was hilarious to see everyone bundled up complete with hats, gloves, and your occasional full blown snow suit. Really the only place you could look when walking was down at the ground because if you tried to look ahead, you were pelted in the eyes by snow. Anyhoo, it was a great time, and expensive time, but one that will not be forgotten.

I may not have mentioned that I'm getting married this October and my fiance and I are trying to visit as many places as we can before we're married because we want to start a family as soon as we can after we're married. Now that I let that cat out of the bag, I'm sure I'll be getting lots of tips on that. To my to-be sister in law: that's a secret only you know now. :)

3. New York
4. Chicago
5. Hawaii-this one will be taken care of on our honeymoon.

So this weekend marked 9 months until the wedding. I have NOT tried on wedding dresses yet as I'm losing weight and just don't want to get upset that I'm not where I want to be yet. On the other hand, within the past week we've booked the DJ, videographer, and caterer. Woohoo! Check those off the list!

Today is the first day I'm starting on the South Beach Diet and I already messed up, I had some skim milk today with my Kashi cereal.....yeah, both no-no's. Great way to start, but I will not be deterred! It's about time I did this for me and my family.

Well it's off to finish up my work and enjoy my afternoon of no school because of the holiday!
